In 1989, a beloved student, Christine MacMenamin, was tragically killed in a car accident. During her short time at Ursuline, Christine made an enormous impact and is remembered with great fondness. Each year at graduation, an award is given to a senior who shares Christine’s attributes of kindness, warmth and spirituality. Twenty four years later, her family has initiated a scholarship in her memory. The Christine MacMenamin Memorial Scholarship will help qualified young women in need of financial assistance attend Ursuline.

On Monday, May 6, 2013 the First Annual Christine MacMenamin Memorial Scholarship Reception will be held at Club Car in Mamaroneck, the restaurant where her brother Brian is executive chef and co-owner. All proceeds from the event will support this newly established scholarship.
